For the third edition of the visual booklet series, Dogtooth, Milan-based artist Giovanni De Francesco was asked to select images of his work, artistic influences and daily surroundings.
The result is a thread-bound collection of black and white photographs offering a dynamic look at how external inspiration is reshaped and interpreted to produce a work of art.

The cover is a film still from David Lynch’s Elephant Man, depicting a head swaddled in cloth and single eyehole providing access to the visual world.
This haunting image sets the tone for this artist book, interweaving De Francesco’s streamlined aesthetic sensitivity with haunting and dark-humor prints, photographs, and works by other artists.
