For the fifth edition of this visual booklet series, artist Marco Samorè was invited to assemble images of his work, artistic influences and daily surroundings. The result is a thread-bound collection of black and white photographs offering a dynamic look at how external inspiration is reshaped and interpreted to produce a work of art. Samorè scrambles artistic timelines by incorporating old masters into his installations and referencing pop and postmodern artists in his photography. Pushing this relationship further, the selection flattens the canonized and the contemporary to create critical juxtapositions within the periodical. Artists featured include Andy Warhol, Gordon-Matta Clark, Rene Magritte, John Stezaker and others.
